Download Linc on the App Store

Free download — iOS 15.0 or later required

1

Download Linc from the App Store

Linc is available exclusively on iOS. Search for "Linc Friendship Tracker" in the App Store, or tap the download button above. The app is free to download with no payment required upfront.

Requirements: iOS 15.0 or later, iPhone or iPad
2

No Account Required

Linc does not require you to create an account, verify an email, or log in. Open the app and you're ready to go immediately. Your data is stored on your device, with optional iCloud sync to your personal iCloud account for backup and cross-device access.

This is by design. Your friendship data is private and personal. Linc's privacy model means no account, no email, no tracking.

3

Add Your First Friends

Tap the "+" button to add a person. You can add friends from your address book or enter their name manually. Either way, you deliberately choose who you want to track.

Tips for building your list:

  • Start small — add 5 to 10 people you genuinely want to stay in touch with
  • Include people you might accidentally neglect — old friends, distant relatives, former colleagues
  • Avoid adding people you see daily — save Linc for relationships that need intentional effort
4

Set Reminder Intervals

For each person you add, choose how often you want to connect. Linc lets you set a custom interval in days, or choose from common presets.

7
days — Weekly
14
days — Biweekly
30
days — Monthly
90
days — Quarterly

You can also set any custom number of days. Most people use weekly for close friends and monthly or quarterly for extended network contacts.

5

Enable Notifications

Linc will ask for notification permission when you set up your first reminder. Allow notifications to receive alerts when it's been too long since you've connected with someone.

Notifications are local push notifications sent directly from the app on your device — they don't go through any external server. You can manage notification preferences in iOS Settings at any time.

6

Log Your First Interaction

After setting up a friend, log an interaction right away — whether it was a call this morning, a coffee last week, or a text yesterday. This tells Linc when the clock should start for their next reminder.

Tap on a person's name, then tap "Log Interaction." Choose the date (today or a past date), optionally add a note, and save. Linc will calculate the next reminder from this date.

You're All Set

That's all there is to getting started. Linc is designed to be simple — you add people, set intervals, and log interactions. The app handles the rest. As you use it more, you'll naturally discover what reminder frequencies work best for each relationship.
